Developer Forums Thread of Every Other Week
Recently in the Shopping Web Services forum, developer intelligroup_ltd (2nd place winner in the recent eBay Widget Contest) asked whether we could make it possible to distinguish between a Chinese-style auction item with no BuyItNow and a FixedPrice item with no sales using the new Shopping API.

rekha.developersupport reported back the good news -- that this Shopping API wish was able to be granted as of late August: "Our product management team has responded by making ListingType available with version 527"

Kristen Nicole from Mashable wrote this thoughtful post on the eBay Marketplace Facebook app we just launched. Read more >
eBay San Dimas Marks A New Era For RIAs
"Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR, formerly known as Apollo) applications like eBay San Dimas take RIAs out of the browser and put them on the desktop. These desktop applications enable occasionally connected use, customized content views, and a branded experience that can act as a platform for closer relationships with customers."

Ron Rogowski, Harley Manning, and Steven Geller from Forrester recently created this report on how rich Internet apps are moving to the desktop, and why this might be the right move for you. Brought to you by our friends at EffectiveUI. Check it out >
