Developer Impact:
Version 3.0 Beta is a complete re-write of the eBay SDK for Windows, built on the eBay SOAP API which is fully compatible with the new schema. Previous versions were built on the legacy schema XML API which will be deprecated and no longer function come June 2006. Applications developed using prior versions of the SDK are required to migrate to the new schema or SOAP API.

Feature Description:
The eBay SDK for Windows 3.0 Beta contains API call, integration, and attribute libraries, however the integration library and attributes library are not as fully developed as those in the eBay SDK for Windows 2.6 production version. This beta supports most of the features available in the 2.x versions of the eBay SDK for Windows, and it also supports many new features. For a complete list of new features please see the What's New section of the release notes.

Feature Benefits:
This is an excellent resource for developers to experiment with the new schema using the SDK. We recommend that you use it for testing in the Sandbox. Do not use this version of the eBay SDK for Windows to manage production data in a live application. The features and functionality in this beta release may change in the final release, and backwards-incompatible changes may be made between this beta release and the final 3.0 release. The official launch of the eBay SDK for Windows 3.0 will be in July 2005.
