| In 2007, the book industry will require all book products to contain 13-digit ISBN codes. Our book catalog provider, Muze, will be updating the ISBN field, book images, and default help text attributes in our Books catalog to accommodate 13-digit ISBNs. They will initiate the new data feed with the new ISBN values in mid-February, and the changes will take place on eBay US, eBay Express, and Half.com at the same time. |

| Our goal is to make this a seamless transition. Therefore, eBay, eBay Express, and Half.com will continue to recognize both the old 10-digit and new 13-digit ISBNs for selling, searching, and buying. This means the change should have no negative effect on any items that are already listed with 10-digit ISBN values at the time the change is made. As with any catalog data change, we anticipate that eBay catalog product IDs for books will change at the same time. If you list with Pre-filled Item Information and you specify an outdated product ID, we will map it to the new ID as usual. |

In most cases, the prefix 978 will be added to the 10-digit ISBN, and the check digit may also change. Again, eBay sites will continue to support both 10-digit and 13-digit ISBNs. |
